Im 26 years old and I had been taking the pill for about 5 and a half years, and took my last one September 18th. My periods are fairly regular, but can vary from 26 to 30 days. Usually I would get my period the day after I took my last pill, but I didn't get it until Sept 21st - still normal for my cycle though. My period felt very much like the ones I had when I was on the pill - the only difference I saw in my cycle is that around ovulation time, my nipples were very sore and stayed that way for over a week, usually I only feel that way for 2-3 days.
We have been TTC for about a month and a half. I got my next period at 26 days on Oct 17th, and we were very actively trying between about the 24th and Nov 1st, having assumed that I would ovulate on the 31st. We also had sex a few times between Nov 2nd and 12th.
Now I have to say I am very much looking for symptoms of pregnancy, so I just don't know whether I'm seeing things or not! But starting on the 31st, I began feeling like I was about to get my period (lower abdominal cramps & lower back pain - very normal for me on a few hours before I get my period). I assumed this might be due to ovulation, even though I have NEVER experienced this during ovulation before, but I figured that it might be a side effect of getting off the pill. I felt like that for about 3 to 4 days, and then I started having increased white/clear cervical mucus and my nipples were a bit sore. Then I felt completely normal for a few days, and then last week (Nov 8/9th), I again started feeling like I was about to get my period - this would make it a week early. But nothing. I read up on implantation, and found out you could feel like you're PMS-ing during implantation, but I had no bleeding. My period was due yesterday, and yesterday afternoon/evening I totally felt like it was about to come - but nothing yet. Today its been on and off and I noticed an increase in my cervical mucus again, very white and slimy - I've just read this is common right before your period, but it's never been for me.
Other than that, I haven't really felt/seen anything that would make me think I'm pregnant. I have a bit of aversion to some foods I usually like, and I crave milk like crazy, usually I drank very little of it. The other thing I've noticed is that I have been having very regular (once a day, but it used to be once every 2 days) and easy bowel movements for about 2 weeks - I'm thinking this might be a side effect of the folic acid I've been taking for about 6 weeks? I don't see how it could be related to pregnancy, usually you're constipated from what I've heard.
I want to wait another 2 or 3 days before taking a pregnancy test because I know my cycle can go up to 30 days (which is tomorrow) and because I really don't want to be disappointed! I know in the past my period was delayed for a few days when I was really stressed, but as much as I really want to have a baby (like now!) and do have moments of stress, generally I feel pretty happy and good these days, so I don't feel like my emotions are running so high as to really affect my period coming on time.
So...thoughts?
