Ok so again another hopefully a sign picker here PMSL
you will get annoyed with me soon:blush:
Past day or 2 baby has moved but not alot. no where as much as he normally does.
I have been like OMG i not felt him in HOURS so i poke his butt ... and he will move it back and maybe kick a foot out while doin it then thats it.
So I know he OK.
Or ill get like a pulsing .. like he breathin in there lol very strange.
Anyway
so people say baba's quiet down when they about to come out.
Should I still count kicks? How many should he be doin?
its now 10:30am and i have only felt him twice.

Not sure hun but just so you know you're not alone, I'm sitting here stewing over the same thing!!

I knew this would happen when I stopped work... too much time for me to think of these things, problem is, it was the exception for me to notice bubs movements whilst I was working so I've no idea what his pattern is for this time in the day!

Gonna go take a shower and have some food, if I've not heard from him, I will go lie down for an hour and do some kick counts.

My MW told me that the hosp will never feel you are wasting their time if you are genuinely worried so my plan is to call them if I am still stressing in an hour or two.

I'm sure we are both worrying over nothing but best to be checked out if it keeps us sane.

im the same my lil 1s movements have changed alot, i asked the mw on monday and she said its normal as baby doesnt have much room. i have more slower bigger movments not much kicks and also get the vibrating aswel xx

Thanks girls.
He still only movin when i prod him ... hmmmmmmmmmm

Just want to say its aload of rubbish that babys movements slow down in the last weeks and in labour. Its still very important you monitor babys movements. If your baby has a patttern go by the pattern, if not you should be counting atleast 10 periods of movements a day.
xx

I get the pulsing as well, I cant for the life of me work out what it is, its like she is breathing! Its not my pulse and its too slow to be hers.... bizarre!

Id ring my MW if you get to concerned over him not moving much, my baby always moves when I lay on my left hand side x

Im goin up to hosptal for a 30 min CTG trace wish me luck!

Sorry hun i hope my post hasnt worried you too much, but im glad you're going into hospital xx

good luck, i am sure he is just being lazy hun xxxx

i just had a thread about the pulsing thing the other day. i think it is breathing. :cloud9:

lexi, let us know how it goes. i bet lo has just moved around or something!!!! xoxo

i think they say that the movements dont slow down but they feel different the last few weeks because your body is starting to absorb some of the amniotic fluid...

Hey Lexi88,

just wanted to check in on you before I headed out but I'm sure you're not back yet from the hosp. I'm glad you went, it's far better than sitting worrying about things. AFM the shower and blood sugar boost seemed to do the trick and bubs has been squirming around as ever.

With regards to the pulsing... could it possibly be hiccups? My LO gets them once or twice a day, they are quicker and more frequent than adult hiccups and last around 10 or 15 mins. I tend to feel them like a pulse downwards onto my cervix or bladder which can make it quite an alarming feeling!! I have been reassured that it's quite normal tho.

I will check back in later to see how you got on at the hosp...

Thinking of you and hope the CTG has put your mind at ease,

Hmmm...they do run out of room in there. Glad to hear you are getting checked out. Oh, and they DO breathe in there. They breathe in the amniotic fluid.

Well I had 30 min ctg.... He "okey" but bein very lazy.. just got told if same in 24/48 hours and any concerns to call them and tell them and go back in to be checked again
Got MW appointment 2morro so will talk to her about it.
Oh and she made him less engaged than what the Dr did last week!

I knew it felt like breathing....

Glad everything is OK hun, I think they do just have sleepy days (same as me lol) hopefully he will perk up tonight for you xx

Yh watch ill eat dinner get Theo in bed then have a bath and he will be break dance in there all night!! PMSL
im gutted he not as engaged tho .. means he wont be makin a appernece within the next 24 hours that im always hoping he will lol

glad everything is OK, I definately notice a couple of lazy days followed by a a day of "breakdancing"!!

Hope you get a peaceful nights sleep tonight and some lovely reassuring wriggles throughout tomorrow.

Glad to hear everything is okay. :)
I find the whole movement thing very confusing, and there's so much conflicting information. I went in for monitoring last week, and the doctor told me it's not uncommon to feel less movement when you get closer to the end - but there have been many ladies on this forum that say that's not true. There's also a couple of websites I look at every week to read about where my baby is at each week...and they both say it's not unusual to have less movement when you get further along. I've been going along with the whole "less movement = bad" idea (regardless of how far along I am) because I don't want to take any risks...but it's so confusing! Why is there such conflicting information out there?? I just find it so frustrating.
