Cows milk vs formula?

We are in process of making the switch - now my LO still has 3 bottles a day and occasionally a bottle in the night.

Does cows milk work the same as formula in filling them up? Sleep is such a fine line and I don't want him waking hungry! X

When we changed with my girl at 1, we changed to full fat milk. From what I've heard there's really no need for follow on milk if your child has a balanced diet. She never started waking more or anything as she filled herself with food during the day and the milk was a yummy extra for calcium etc

He eats wells but still needs those 3 bottles so I was reluctant to start messing if it was the formula filling him up or whether it was just the vitamins that you were meant to keep giving them! His diet is good enough to forgo those I think!
