Hi ladies,
I need some advise or input. I'm experiencing my first loss and I'm not sure what to expect. It's sort of a strange situation so I'm going to explain it and try to keep the post as short as I can.
Background: I'm 32 and I'm very overweight. I am a type 2 diabetic. My cycles are pretty regular but do vary anywhere from 26-30 days. AF normally lasts about 3 days sometimes 4. My hormone levels were checked in Mid May this year and my DR said they were within normal limits.
I had a very light period on May 12th-May15. However, after AF I noticed my breasts were super sore and I had increase in CM. I also had lots of mild cramping. I had an HPT left over from last month when I thought I was pregnant so I decide to take it on May 17th and it was faintly positive. I thought it was faulty because I just had my period. So I took another one the next morning and it was negative.
I noticed I was still having symptoms so after a week went by I took a digital pregnancy test on May 24th and it said "pregnant". I was super excited!
Well that same day, I started lightly bleeding and had mild cramping. That lasted for 3 days or so.
I went to my DR office to confirm my pregnancy on June 28th and their urine test was negative. So they sent me for a Beta HCG and that came back as 18. So they said they didn't know if I was miscarrying or if I was very early in my pregnancy. I started lightly spotting again so I went to the ER on May 30th. They ran my numbers again and my HCG was 29. They confirmed I was pregnant and sent me home. They said I was probably about 3 weeks.
I had more labs done on June 4th and the number was 33. WTH?
I had more light bleeding from June 7th until June 11th. I went to my first OB appt yesterday on June 11th and they checked my HCG level and my progesterone.
My HCG was 19 and my progesterone was 1.49. So she said I could expect to miscarry.
When will this start happening?? Once the bleeding stops, will I just have to wait for the next month when I get a normal period again?
I'm just not sure what to expect. The nurse just said I should have a normal period in 30-45 days.
