Hey all,

my LO has just learnt to crawl (finally!) but for the last week she has been practicing this skill all day...and all night!

She has never been a good sleeper, but at the moment every time she wakes or is in a light sleep she immediately gets up onto all fours, or onto her hands and feet, and does all sorts of acrobatics in her cot. She always ends up bumping her head on the sides, kicking her blankets off etc etc and then wakes herself up. Plus she won't let my OH settle her anymore - just screams until I feed her.

I know that this is pretty common when they are learning a new skill - and she is doing so many new things at the moment - but I was wondering if others have been through it and how long it lasted for? It is driving me crazy!

No idea how long it lasts, but I can offer sympathy as my LO kept me up for over two hours last night showing me how much she likes to roll! :dohh: I'd put her back down then hear this shuffling noise, look over to see a little head peeking out at me from over the cot bars, lol. I'd have left her to it but she'd get annoyed and want me to flip her back over. I think it might be time to drop the cot base down. My back isn't going to like that!

Yeah, we had to drop the cot down when she started pulling herself up...so much harder!

I really hope she relaxes with it all soon, as she won't sleep more than 3 hours at a time without waking herself up....and it's normally every 1-2 hours, getting pretty tiring!

It is kind of cute but gets old by about 4am!

Oh I know, my baby isn't exactly on speaking terms with sleep either! 1 am cute, 4 am, not so cute. :haha:
