Cycle days? :/

Hey ladies Im after a bit of help....
Im new to ttc so to be honest I have no idea when cycles are counted from

I got first signs of af(brown discharge yuck) on the 30th nov but didnt start actual 'flow' until 3 days after ...so when do I count my cycle from?
And the same when af finished I stopped bleeding but didnt stop the discharge stuff for another 2-3days.

you don't count the spotting. its when you actually 'flow' that is counted as CD1
