I think i'm in labour....
for the past hour (i'v been having them on and off alday, but more of a pattern as picked up since 8pmish) my "contraction's" have been around 8min's apart and 5min's apart, and i'm only just coping with the pain of some of them!

Should I wait until i'm really struggling with the pain?
Or when I have more at 5min's apart? There not really that long...mainly about 40-50sec's and the odd 1min +. Last one being 1min30 long..
Some I feel like (tmi) i need to poo or fart, like push to force it out... other's are jus aches like im badly constipated or have bad wind :/

Do you think I should hold out abit longer until i'm starting to struggle with the pain...hospital's about 20min's away, 30 including parking and walk to labour ward...

ETA - i was like this last night, but then they went and became irregular, like every hour so....that's only thing putting me off going in..

Its always worth going to get checked. Wether you're wrong or right.
:hugs:

there slowing down again now :( but abit more painful, going to try get abit of sleep and stop timing for abit, doubt i'll get much tho. Pain's are defo worse then last night tho, when I wake up )if I sleep, i'l time again for 30-60min's then ring hospital and let them know tonight's event's, see what they say....need to try get at least an hour's sleep!
OH's been sleep for past 4hour's..

That's the way I was Thursday and Friday night and my waters broke yesterday morning not nice lol and my little one came this morning :) xx

Oh hon...really really really hope this is it for you. Keep us updated. x

I officially give up! This baby clearly want's to stay put :'(

I decided to try get a bit of sleep as they was slowing down but lasting longer and being abit more painful...and now same as yesturday there like every hour :(
I'm not building my hope's up anymore, got my induction tomorrow, may aswel just accept he's not going to come until then. x

ahh forgot about this post thread....

Well on 12th at dinner time, contraction's started again, was coping with them, but at 8.15pm ish, I decided to go to hospital to get checked out, tho I was still coping really well breathing through contraction's. Got there and about 9pm I was 2cm's dilated, and gave the option of staying and having something to help me sleep or going home. I opted for going home!
Got home and went to bed had a couple more contraction's and fell to sleep.
Next thing I know it's 12.38am and my contraction's have started again, not even min's apart! Was knelt on the floor leaning over the bed, wanting to push...but knowing I couldn't because I was at home :/ Some how managed to get dressed and get to hospital(arrived in the car park at 1.10), walked all the way through the hospital to delievery suite, having to stop every contraction to stop myself from pushing! Got into a delivery room, midwife took one look at me and was like "get your trouser's off and on the bed, what pain relife do you want? Gas and aire while I examine you? Just need to put the monitor on to check his heartrate then we will see where you are now"
4puff's of gas and air later, 16min's of pushing, baby H arrived at 1.36am 13th September weighing 7lb12!

His heart rate dropped a little and they went to put something on him(sorry forgot name) to keep a better check at it, but didn't have time, by the time they had got it ready his head was out and his heart rate had picked back up.
I ended up with 2tear's and a graze, they only needed a couple of stiche's but the midwife who stiched them up decided after she'd put in what was needed that she'd put more in to make it look better :S
I can honestly say, as far as I remember, the only pain I had was when I was having to stop my self from pushing!! Contraction's wasn't as painful as I expected and pushing him out was a breeze :)

Congratulations! Think you've just described my dream birth! Well done sleeping through active labour!!!
