Dark brown mucus plug (TMI)

So I had a membrane sweep on monday (about 55 hours ago) and I was exactly 38 weeks at the time, 1cm dilated and 50% effaced. I've been getting cramping since then on & off but nothing regular.
I went to the bathroom about three hours ago and had a big gooey dark brown blob when I wiped, then another about an hour later but there was more clear in it than dark brown. I'm thinking it's my plug? Could it mean labor is going to start soon or is it just a result of the membrane sweep I had 2 and a half days ago?
I've been getting sharp cramps more frequently since then but they're not regular, and some pressure. Has anyone else experienced this & what was the outcome?

i had a sweep on saturday, had my bloody show sunday bright red mucus up until monday, and now since monday i have had dark brown mucus and still no labor? i was told after 72 hours if you dont go into labor from your sweep its considered a failed sweep and you gotta get another one. i am scheduled for another one on friday.
