Dark urine?

I am 9 weeks pregnant and I have been having really yellow urine I mean when I wipeI can see it on the paper, I have never had this before, also I ve been getting a urge to pee then very little comes (sorry tmi) I called the Dr. yesterday and told him that I thought I might have a uti because of the strong urge to pee and then not going alot he had me go in and tested my urine but said I didn't have an infection that sometimes the utereus is just pushing on the bladder he told me to take azo for discomfort although I haven't taken any, but I completly forgot to ask about the color of my urine. So I just want to see if anyone knows what could be causing it.

i am the same. i read on here somewhere about prenatal vitamins that are probably causing the strong colour of the urine- hope that's what it is.

The only thing that comes to mind is that you are dehydrated. I know that seems like the obvious response but I don't know what else it may be. Are you drinking enough water?

Dehydration is also the first thing that comes to my mind. Try increasing your water intake and see whether that helps. fx.

I'm having much darker urine as well (also smells a little stronger) and my doctor told me it's a mixture of my prenatal vitamins and the hCG hormone in your body (sometimes it just does weird things to you ). As for the urge to pee, I'm pretty sure that is a sign of a uti so just take your doc's advice

If it's bright yellow like that I would go with vitamins actually. I have that whenever I take vitamins, less so with the prenatal vitamins, but still. Before getting pregnant I used to take a multivitamin that made my pee radioactive yellow. Usually I pee out all the yellow at once though, several hour after taking the vitamin (when I took it in the morning), and a pretty dark yellow/orange now that I take them at night and don't pee till morning.

My urine dark yellow too. Definatly caused by pregnacare!

My pee is fluorescent yellow - really bright, I was totally stumped but then I googled it and it's caused by prenatal vitamins, especially B12 which is in pregnacare (what I'm taking) If its dark dull urine I'd say you were dehydrated!

Did you change the vitamins you're taking recently?
Frequency to urinate is definitely an early pregnancy symptom. I'm not doing so bad right now but with my previous two pregnancies I could pee up to every 15 minutes!

I'm having the same thing I figured it was from the prenatal vitamins. It sounds like what your doc said is very reassuring, so why are you worried?

Thank you all I did just start taking a new vitamin, and Dr said all was ok so I guess I will also try to up my water intake it couldn't hurt

I agree bright yellow is the vitamins, dark yellow is dehydration.

Mine has been almost orange due to dehydration brought on by Hyperemesis, I had to go on a drip yesterday and it is back to a normal colour now. It could be dehydration or a UTI as well as something more benign but because of those two I'd get checked out.

See what upping the water does. Your body is trying to increas and make lots of fluids right now.

I still have frequency issues. Sometimes I no more than leave the bathroom and feel like I should head back in there.
