dates and tummy measuring....

ok so i know that MW's measure from the belly button to the bottom bit but mine hasnt gotten bigger in the last few weeks and im SOOOOOOOOO paranoid that something has happened, I heard the HB at about 16 weeks but out here you dont get any kind of MW support or Drs appointment until you are 20 weeks (mine is booked for this coming THURSDAY)



I can feel movement and the like down there but im still worried..... anyone else measuring them selves?? I think im actually boardering on compulsive!!!

Im 21 weeks and 1 day but measuring as 19 ..........

You dont need to measure until 28wks, bumps are all different shapes
and sizes, and baby still has plenty of room to 'hide' in there, so somedays
your bump could be bigger than others.
I really wouldnt worry. x

sorry i don't nothing about those measurements, but i think they start measuring a few weeks later. Try to relax and enjoy, your appt is right around the corner!!!

They measure from the top of your uterus to your pubic bone - not from your belly button - although it might look like that when they measure you around 20 weeks as thats about where the top of your uterus is at that stage

I haven't measured but I don't think mine has got any bigger in the last couple of weeks - just harder.

Don't worry chick, measurements are this stage aren't important - MW will do it when its needed

My midwife didn't measure me until I was 21 weeks and 6 days and my bump measured 22cm (the fundal height) so that was pretty much bang on but there is scope for variation so I really wouldn't worry.

i have not been measured yet, but did have a scan at 24 wks, i would'nt worry too much..
