Here is a little background on me:
I haven't had a period since my first LO was born (almost 8 months ago...yes, we want our children close). I have, however, had several positive OPKs (3 in the past month, separated). One of those positives was yesterday. Yesterday, I also emailed my doctor to see what he recommends, and ask why he thinks I might be getting these positives. He recommended taking a pregnancy test (to insure I'm not pregnant...which I'm pretty sure I'm not) and also is giving me the option (and sent a prescription to my pharmacy) for provera (to induce my period to get my cycle started and back on track).
Here is what I'm debating: Do I wait to see if the positive OPK turns out to be a true ovulation (which would mean waiting a little bit, but that our BD efforts could have possibly paid off)...or do I start taking the provera immediately to get me moving to my next cycle (which will hopefully get me back on track to have regular cycles, but would throw the chance of this cycle out the window)? Any advice? TIA!
