decided not to do the D&C... cytotec instead

I recieved 4 doses of Cytotec and my daughter was born 27 hours after the first dose. I was 20 weeks along. I think it is different for everyone.

I just used 3 tabs vaginally this morning at 9am. Had some pretty tough cramps---felt like labor pains, took some Codeine and a nap...and now almost 8 hours later just some mild cramping and a teeny bit of spotting. I'm pretty bummed because I had cramping last nite (naturally) and some spotting this morning, so I figured I'd be all done by now. If I don't see anything by tomorrow morning I'm calling the Dr. on-call to see if they will rx another dose. I will be SO pissed if this doesn't work, as I had mentally prepared myself for this. The babe passed 3 weeks ago (6 weeks size) so not too large. Sorry you're going thru this, I feel your pain.

Iam so sorry for you loss i was 18 weeks with my son they ended up having to give more mg than 5 times the average women vaginally and orally i started the cytotec on wednesday afternon and friday at 1:55 am he was delivered but they ended up having to use iv meds also. If you ever need to chat im here.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It's a pain that no mommy should have to bear.
When I took cytotec, I took it right before bed and by morning it had started.

Hi again May - hope it starts soon. I understand that the pill has different effects for everyone, and doesn't always work. Be patient. Fingers crossed this is over for you soon.

Good luck. It didn't work for me and I had to have the D&C anyway. Be sure you have someone with you in case you have dangerous side effects--which can happen with this drug.
