Definite False Positive?

Hi Everyone. I want to have more peace about this.. I still feel unsure. I have very irregular cycles (every 1 or 2 months give/take) I keep coming to this site and others looking for answers because I think I had a false positive test. My last period was September 27. On oct 11 my husband and I did "the deed" and I started testing in Nov. Nov 10 I took a first response digital and it reAd Yes +. My husband and I went to the dr and my Qualitative blood test read Negative. I know it takes many women so long to try and conceive, it was just a huge bursted bubble reading Yes+ And then having negative blood. Can anyone relate? -Snails

I can't really relate hun, as I've never been in this situation however from what I've come across, my guess would be one of two things. Either you are pregnant and the digital was right (It's VERY rare to get a false positive) and some how the blood test was wrong or not done correctly. Or sad to say, it could have been a chemical or early miscarriage. Enough HCG for the digital to read but not enough for the blood test. I REALLY hope that's not the case.

Have you tested recently? Are you getting any lines at all?

Ditto chika - false positives really don't happen unless that was a faulty test. It's possible that your blood test was done incorrectly, or that God forbid you had a chemical pregnancy and had just enough HcG to render the digital positive, by the time you had your blood test it had left your system.

If I were you I'd retest - get a pink-dye test, FRER, and see what the lines look like. Then retest with a digital, and if they are both ++ (fingers crossed for you!) go back to the doctor!

so sorry about your confusing time! I'm having a similiar experience. I took 3 clearblue digitals on a monday & tuesday all positive. I think I was about 6 weeks. then by thursday of that same week I was bleeding quite a bit & cramping. friday my OB's office said to go to the ER so i did. we had a negative blood test. he came in and said your not pregnant go home...no explination. when i asked if i could have been prego he said "no your levels are to low". from my research i believe mine was a chemical pregnancy. its so confusing! i go to my ob's office this friday so maybe she can give me a better answer than the er.
