I have suffered with depression most of my life. The depressioned seemed to lift quite a bit during pregnancy - although still had some really down times.

How do I know whether I have pnd or its just my usual depression?

I think any depression that occurs in the first year after having a baby is classed as PND even if you have a history of it.

i agree with lozzy any depression after baby is born will be classed as PND.

i had a very strange form of PND after having zane where i was constantly scared he was going to die and ways he could de would go thru my head day and night to the point where i would follow him crawl so i could catch him before he fell over....it wasnt fun :/

glad to hear ur depression has got better since becoming pregnant x
