hello,

I have been taking agnus catus and evenng primrose oil for a week now and i have been having cramps in my tummy, im not sure if it is my womb or my intestins, but i have also had an upset tummy, has anuone else experienced this? x

I started taking evening primrose last cycle and I had mild af cramps around when I O'ed which was a 1st for me..... not sure if its connected though.

Not sure if this helps :-/

Good Luck. Xx

I have taken both (still taking agnus castus) The agnus has not given me any known side effects. The month I took EPO, I was taking 3000mg and I had some mid cycle spotting...not at ovulation, but days before. I stopped the EPO because talked to my acupuncturist and she said that high dose might cause uterine contractions and spotting. I didn't have cramps, but if it causes uterine contractions I would imagine it can cause cramps? Grapefruit juice seems to work well for me for EWCM. :)

thank you for the advice ladies :flower: im only on CD 11 so i think it is a little early for OV it was CD22 for me last month! maybe i just have a tummy bug im going to wait and see. oh and grapefriut juice is my new fave drink i love it!

this is really late, and I'm not expecting, but evening primrose gives me cramps. I had to stop taking it.

i know this is an old thread but just sayin...i took epo for a month and it shortened my cycles to 26 days and gave me the worst periods ever ... i took 1300 mgs , but gave me great ewcm ..i m so afraid its causing hormonal imbalance or something but at the same time it creats great CM ...i really dont know what to do now :(

I had been waiting on my AF for 4/5 weeks after finishing taking BCP. On Tuesday I started taking Evening Primrose Oil and BAM! Got my AF this morning.

I don't know if it would have came anyway or not but one side effect (Sorry this is TMI) lets just say my bowels have loosened somewhat, which isn't normal for me at all.

I'm cramping too but that's prob AF working her magic.

I've always found that EPO makes my cramps much milder than they were before I began taking it. I take EPO from Cycle Day 1 until ovulation.

For the last few cycles I've been taking Fertilaid, which contains Vitex (agnus castus), and I haven't found that my cramps have been worse, but my moodiness has definitely been a bit worse; it seems likely that if it's exacerbated my PMS moodiness, that it could worsen cramps in others, depending on each individual's hormonal balance.
