Did taking soy isoflavones mess with your period?

My period this month has been odd to say the least. Five days of light brown spotting and now my normal period is here! I also started the brown discharge 4 days before my period was due to start... My LP was only 9 days.
Should I go to the doctor? Can I even get pregnant with such a short LP?

mine was like that too but ive always had a few days of spotting first then bleed then spotting again. it sucks but i dont know if it could be the soy or not

Hi Feelcrazy. I took Soy for the first time this cycle. First of all I got a + OPK 2 days later than normal and I had a blood test on friday to confirm ovulation as my temps show that I didn't even ovulate, I'll get the results tomorrow. I never get my period past 28 days regardless of when I ovulate so if I get AF on thursday my LP will only have been 9 days too. I don't think I will be taking the soy again. Are you going to be trying it again this month?

I only took 2 days of soy this time around and FF still hasn't confirmed my O date either. I always O on CD 12 but I'm totally wondering if I O'd on CD8...so I'm either 9dpo or 5dpo I'm so upset and confused and won't be recommending SOY to anyone!

well if you already normally O so soon then i woulndt recomend it either because it can cause you to not O if you already do soon. for me it helped to bring on a new cycle because i dont have short cycles or even O most months

I have a regular cycle but decided to take soy this month and I think it messed up my cycle. I am on cd21 and still no sign of O (last month my O was on cd21 with CM and cramps 2-3 days before that). Temps have also gone bonkus. Stayed over cover line for CD1-9 and than 2 days ago it dipped below 36 celcius which never happenned before. It's now back to 36+ celcius but below my usual cover line.

Waiting game now to see what happens next.
