Did you get a scan between 12 and 20 weeks

I had my 12 week scans (had 3 as when it was twins had the NT part) a few weeks all well back but am longing for the 20 week one which is 4 and a bit weeks away. I have a consultant appointment next week and just curious if anyone else had a scan mid way between the standard 12 and 20 week one? I can feel flutterings (2nd pregnancy BTW) more on the left side than right and when i went to the dr they could only pick up one HB as he said twin 2 was not really in best position so was hard to get it and didn't have time to keep trying. Guess I am just nervous and I just want to see my babies again and 4 weeks is SO long to wait!

I had scans at 12,14,16,18,and 20 weeks. My twins are identical so i am scanned every 2 weeks. Fraternal twins are usually scanned every 4 weeks. Well thats what i thought anyway! x

I have fraternal twins and was scanned at 12, 20, 28, 30 (because i went into pre-term labour). x

I wasn't scanned between 12 and 20 weeks. I had one, if I remember correctly, at 7, 12, 20 and 30. I'm not sure when I'll have another.

I had a 16 week scan (my twins are fraternal). I've had scans at 9, 13, 16, 20 and will have another at 28. I did have a scan at 22 weeks, but that was a private 4D scan, so doesn't count on the NHS. Definitely ask your consultant if you're due a 16 week one.

Are you twins fraternal or identical?

they're fraternal, and called the consultant today and we will get one next week at week 16 appointment - am so excited to see them. hubby will get to see them on screen properly as we got the appointment while DS is in nursery

I have fraternal and have been getting them every 4 weeks, so for me it was 7, 11, 15, and 19 wks - my next one is actually scheduled in 3 weeks at 22 because they couldn't see everything they needed to for the anatomy scan I had at 19 wks

I only had nhs scans at 6+4, 12 & 20 weeks obviously they've been 4 weekly ever since and my twins are fraternal which is normal it's only if there are other concerns that they do them more frequently as far as I'm aware x

Mine are fraternal and I wasn't scanned between 12 and 20 weeks, I just saw the midwife for a check up at 16 weeks.

6weeks *due to bleeding and found twins*
12 weeks *standard*
16 weeks *when booking in with consultant*
18 weeks *to check for eyes due to hereditary condition*
20 weeks *to repeat above checks and do standard 20 weeks*
then every four weeks until delivery at 37+3

Hi hun. I was scanned at 10, 15, 18, 21, 25, 28, 31 and 34wks. Planned section was at 38wks. I had lots of scans because I had a cervical stitch placed at 12wks and had to have an internal scan to check my cervix. From 18wks I also had baby scans with the consultant too. Without the cervical issues I would have had scans at 12, 20, 28, 31 and 34wks. I was surprised I wasn't checked again between 34 and 38wks but I just had to trust the consultant knew what she was doing (and she did ). With twins I would expect a scan atleast every 3/4wks from 18wks x

8, 12, 20, and 27 week scans so far. I have one scheduled for 32 weeks as well. My twins are didi.

I'm having identical twins and so far we've had a scan at 12 and 16 weeks but we have one booked for every two weeks till they arrive at 36 weeks now - we are so lucky to be able to see our babies so much before they arrive !
I was hoping to find out what we are having yesterday, but the twins just weren't playing ball - oh well ! Only two weeks to find out - hopefully !!
