Disheartened-test lighter (Update pg.3)

Hey ladies

Well im an ivf lady.
I took a FRER yesterday evening at 5dp5dt and got a faint positive. I did one this morning and it was considerably lighter. In fact i could hardly see it within the first 3 minutes! I have taken a photo (test was about 25mins old when i took photo) but you cant tell as much difference as you can in person. Im so disheartened. Ive been through the mill enough trying to have a baby

Thank you, in person one is soooo much lighter. At 3 minutes i could hardly see it.
Can morning urine be weaker than nights?

Try with smu... My fmu is always heart stoppingly much lighter

I wouldn't worry too much just yet hun especially as there's only 9 hours between the tests

I agree with beautifuld, my fmu is awful too, I always test with second morning pee or mid morning if it's more concentrated x

Thank you everyone! Im away for the day now so will do one tomorrow, or tonight if i cant hang on! Im a nightmare, i pee on a stick once and then im addicted!

Sometimes people find their tests darker in the evening then in the morning. Everyone is different Hun xxx

I took two frer's over two days and my 2nd test looked lighter, I was thinking it can't be right, it should be darker. I found tho, with all the tests I did you couldn't always tell the difference and half the time the next days FMU was lighter on them. Evening pee was good to see some progression tho.

My smu test at 10dpo was much darker than my fmu test at 11dpo, I'm just one of those that tests better with smu, I was terrified about my lines getting lighter, but here I am at nearly 7 weeks still.

Hiya I have been through the same thing with this pregnancy some tests looked lighter then some would only be a tiny bit darker and they took ages to get dark! (If you look in my journal you will see all my tests). I eventually had my hcg bloods done 48 hours apart and the numbers almost trebled but the tests stayed the same colour! Please trig not to worry and one thing I have learnt in the last 2 weeks is thy you really cannot use pregnancy tests to determine if hcg is rising at the correct rate!

I had the same, me evening pee gave much better results than my fmu the next day . As soon as I tested in the evening again they were darker so don't worry XXXX

Well todays test isnt any darker, same feint line

I thought it didn't matter, as long as you got a line? The lines are clearly there. We can all see them. It isn't like a lot of people who post tests where you can see absolutely nothing. The lines are there!

With my previous pregnancies the density of colour in the lines has reflected in both miscarriages so would be the same in a chemical pregnancy.

One thing to remember too is that hCG at this point usually takes 48 hours to double so testing every day isn't a good idea as your lines may not seem to change at all.
