Hi all.

Have called nhs direct and been advised to take some paracetamol (as i have a headache) and call my midwife as i have been very dizzy today and not generally feeling 100%. I went to work this afternoon and felt cold but got through it and wasnt that bad.

since i came home the dizzyness has gotten worse and im feeling really crappy and just want some reassurance that its nothing serious and that others are experiencing dizzyness also

thanks

Drink lots and lots of water.. and rest.. prop your feet up.. and get off the computer! that always makes me feel worse!!!

I felt like this yesterday, didn't feel right, kept feeling dizzy & my vision was a little blurey. I was told to drink lots and rest as my MW thought I was a little de-hydrated. I came home from work early and slept all afternoon, waking to drink water and feel fine today. Hope you feel better soon.

I was actually feeling like this yesterday and off and on for the past couple months... dizzy, naucious, and a horrid headache – DH made me dinner in bed, I took some tylonol, and passed out for 12 hours. Lots of water, rest, and yeah – staring at the computer when you’re not feeling well definitely won’t help! Hope you feel better soon :hugs:

Hi,

Ive suffered with this from day one where i get really weak and dizzy with headaches and blurry vision..the best bit of advice i can give you is if you are standing up sit down and look down/put your head between your knees and stop what you are doing. Dont carry on or continue standing there because you will faint/collapse (i learnt this the hard way) If you are at home lie down down for a while until you feel better and get up slowly, also as others said above drink plenty of fluids and even eat something small I've found that helps. And keep well away from the computer screen it makes things worse. Also if it seems to be lasting for hours or longer than you feel comfortable with phone your gp or midwife for advice. Hope you feel better soon!x

I had this. still get it sometimes. midwife said my blood pressure has been quite low and thats what is causing the dizziness. try and relax and take a bit of time for yourself.

It should ease off in time, but i would still mention to your midwife when you see her.

Hope this helps x

I have had this for quite a while and my specialist realised that I have low iron levels (ferritin levels which are your iron stores). So I have had to some proper iron tablets (not the supplement ones I was originally taking) to try and bump it up. If it doesn't get better with plenty of fluids and rest then it might be an idea to see if they can test your ferritin levels to check your iron stores aren't much below 50 (bit of an expert on this as suffered from fatigue for several years :))

Hope it gets better soon and fingers crossed its just rest you need.

Take care x
