not know at all what baby weighs? Like not even an estimate?

My MW has never said anything about his weight. What if hes 11lbs or something!?!?!

Weight/size of baby has never been mentioned in either of my pregnancies.

If it was going to be over 10 lbs it is likely it would have been picked up by midwife/doc just by feeling your tummy.:flower:

Nope, not been given any idea. My fundal height was 40cm at 38 weeks and at the very top of the chart but she just said they would check again in 2 weeks. To be honest, I have heard that it is really difficult to predict and there seems to be many stories of the predictions being wrong, even when people have a scan.

Oh phew! She feels every appointment so she must have a feeling in her mind how big hes going to be. My great Uncle was a 12lb+ homebirth (obviously, as it was back in the early 1900's) owch

im having a growth scan next week and at 36 weeks this time but with imogen when i saw the MW at 36 weeks i asked her how much she thought the baby weighed and she said 6.5-7.5 lb. she was 7lb 3.5.
but even growth scans can be way out, but im sure if you were measuring very large they would have mentioned something. xxx

I have no idea and section tomorrow. I don't think they are accurate anyways

With my son I carried quite small, and surprised everyone when he was born at 9lb, I was only a small framed 17 year old too.

This one Im worried is going to be bigger again, but midwife hasnt said anything. Im carrying smaller this time than I did with my first son though. They say you usually have bigger babies with each pregnancy, but Im really hoping this one isnt, my sons birth was hard enough and he had to be delivered by forceps so this one being smaller would be nice lol.

xx

Ok, you can NEVER tell how heavy a baby will be. There heads are pretty much the same size. My girls were short yet heavy and they had the same size head as my little girl that was 7lb11oz my other 2 girls were 9lb5oz and 9lb3oz so not small by any means! Some babies have denser bones so just weigh more. There's no fixed solution. Even if they say your baby is a BIG baby it could still fit through your pelvis and you would know whether it's easier or harder to give birth to a fatty. Lol! Ime the bigger ones have been easier, but that's just me!

my partner asked at my 37 week appointment, the mw said its impossible to say, hope i dont have a 13lber haha, AImee was only 6.9 so thins baby can be something similar, beautiful package, oh I AM SOOO EXCITED!!!!!
