Do I count CD1 from the brown spotting before period?

I have recently started my first period after ectopic surgery and before the red/blood flow came (sorry tmi) I had 4 days of brown spotting... so do I count this as my AF or start counting from the day of the proper blood?

I would also like to know this coz if its from the brown spotting then im late but just so i dont get my hopes up im counting it from when bleeding properly started, still got 4days to go to c...

I'd say from bleeding day. Has it happened to you before?

Day 1 is first day of full red flow

Okay that's helpful thank you! I've never had this before... Before my eptopic I used to have a light flow for a few days before but never this brown colour.. It's more like a discharge as there's not a lot of it.
