I'm due on the 10th December (hopefully get induced around 26th November!) with our :yellow: peanut :happydance: and wondering if I get the Christmas tree & decorations out and put them up. We're spending Christmas Day at my parents for Christmas Dinner and stopping over so that's food sorted!
I don't want to have a unwelcoming Christmas when people come round and see Peanut!
I know it'll be up to me to get the Christmas decorations out due to OH isn't bothered at all with the whole Christmas events only drinking he enjoys like any bloke!
What's the best thing to do?

Also another question. Do I get any presents for Peanut with being so young and wrap them or let presents off people be classed as their 'First Christmas'?

I would defo put my decorations up. Just think how lovely and festive it will be formyour LO first Christmas! Also u could aim to Put them up around 1st dec, so if your not induced it will give u something to occupy yourself with and might even help induce labour ;) as for gifts I would maybe just get a few pram toys that you would get a newborn in anyways and a few gender specific outfits. Maybe a play gym could be given as a gift as well?

You have to put decorations up....its the law ha ha. It will be lovely with your little one. I would perhaps get one gift that you can keep for years and will always look back and remember your babies first xmas.

Any ideas on a keepsake useful present?

Ooh now you got me...um, maybe a xmas themed book that you read stories from as they get older at xmas. You can get some really lovely advent calander things that would come out year after year as they get older. Sorry not very helpful, but I think I would want to get something that would last that could come out every xmas to remind me the first xmas. Plus I would prob get a decoration or ornament of some kind...I love keepsake things x

I would have to put the decorations up plus it will give you something to do on those days near the end when there dragging like crazy! I would get LO a few little presents and maybe things to put away when you'll need them throughout the year, when weaning, older toys, highchair etc!

:flower:

Ive been debating this but Ive decided to leave it til Ive had the baby. I can direct people to do them for me or hand the baby over to OH whilst I do them.
