ive heard and read these storys but i dont see how you couldnt no you were pregnant. i understand people can still bleed and have no morning sickness but everyone gains weight and every child kicks and moves about how could you not notice this.

(sorry im posting alot im browsing the web and asking you questions about it lol)

I was watching I didnt know I was pregnant last night well early this am and I guess its not as uncommom as you might think the woman all had symptoms that they just chalked up to something else and unless you have had a baby alot of the moving can be symptoms of gas or muscle jumping I guess seems odd but it happens

hi had to lol at this thread. I dont know how they cannot know they are pregnant. did u see the women on the news? she had irregular periods and was complaining of pains in the tummy so the doctor referred and they told her she ibs and put her on meds n then couple of months l8er she was still in pain and they sent her to hospital again and told her she was about 3 months pregnant...later tht day she went into labour and had a full term baby!

lol no never saw that or saw the program on tv. but you no your body and no what gas feels like dont you its more of a bubberling feeling to me not a kick. and at the late stages i saw little mans actual feet and hand showing in my belly what could you put that down to. i now it happens just think its mad x

Haha I have often wondered this but I suppose if you are on the large side (like Heather on Eastenders) you wouldn't notice the weightgain so much... and if you are on birth control you wouldnt ever think it would be possible so would assume IBS or something like that!

I find it hard to believe myself but I guess until it happens to one of us we would never know!

Well I think part of is is that some people really have no idea about they're body cues.

Also not everyone gains weight. Some people have lost weight, especially if they are already overweight.
If you look, the majority of the women on the show are overweight.

with both of my previous pregnancies you wouldn't have been able to tell i was pregnant. with my dd i didnt show until about 8 1/2 months into it (and she was born less than a week later) and with my ds i lost almost 15 pounds and never gained any weight.. i guess anything is possible..

I'd believe it. Not just for women who are overweight either. There are plenty of normal sized women who think they've just put on a little bit of weight and have nearly carried a baby full term. I think a lot of this has to do with, as someone said before, not understanding body clues. Also, these women also often have irregular periods and can go a long time without having one. They often believe that this is what's causing a lot of their problems. Additionally, their doctors often have written off the ability of these women to get pregnant and therefore don't contribute whatever pains they are having to pregnancy.

It's not that hard to understand. Everyone carries a baby differently, and some people carry the baby more to the back so hardly show. Some women just don't realise they're pregnant, for whatever reason. Don't see what's so hard to understand.

I'm not sure if my son was just a fidgiter or what but he used to shift around that much at night he would keep me and my husband awake (if he was lying next to me). I think I would have known I was heavily pregnant by this alone!!!

I had a close friend who didn't find out till she was about 8 months. She was on the heavy side and never showed....I'm on the heavy side and I show at 5 months. I swear she had PCOS....she has a lot of symptoms such as rarely having a period( I know there is more to it than that). She had been married for 9 years and assumed she was infertile. She had a period every now and then and she had lost some weight and became pregnant. Well, the way she was describing symptoms it sounded like something horrible was wrong with her. It wasn't until a friend told her to take a pregnancy test till she even begin to think it was possible. A women can chalk it up to something else like she did. I would also want to say that a small women do not always show, I knew a girl who was about a size 1 and never showed, it wasn't until she was 9 months till she even looked pregnant. she was complaining how she was having to wear a size 3! I didn't want to hear it! I had gained 40lbs when I was at the point she was!

I will say it can happen. My sister didnt find out with my niece until she was 5 months. We had taken a rest together 2.5 weeks prior and they were negative. My sister didn't have a stomach the only thing she noticed was different was her eating chicken which she didn't like. A close family friend delivered a still born baby girl at 7.5 months. She didn't know...she looked normal same clothes, wedding gown fit was nice, and she had irregular periods. She was very sick and passed out at work. The baby had started despising inside her. She was in the hospital for awhile.

yes i believe that because my uncles gf didnt know she was pregnant until she was in labor she was a bigger woman so it didnt show or anything no cravings ect.

It seems so crazy but every time I hear a story of a woman not knowing till labor she is always very overweight. Then yes it makes sense. A good friend of mine was overweight and even when she was 8 months she didn't look any different from when she was not pregnant, her stomach just felt a bit harder.

I'm a bit bigger girl and I had a bump at 9 weeks before I miscarried, like a noticable bump. But not all women are the same. Some women with tilted uterus can carry far back and carry vertical along the spine which keeps you from showing. This happens a lot, many of my skinny mini friends have gone through pregnancy like this, and they never really looked pregnant at all. Kinda crazy

My friend was a doctor in Accident and Emergency and once a woman came in complaining of tummy pains, suspecting that she had a bad urine infection or something. Well, my friend examined her and felt this large mass in her stomach. Turns out that mass was a baby and this woman was experiencing labour pains!

This actually just happened to a girl I went to high school with 5 days ago... all of a sudden her brother post on FB that he is an uncle, that caught me completely off guard as nobody had any clue, come to find out she didn't know either. Like others have said, she is overweight so I am sure this contributed some, but I have seen episodes on television with average size women as well.

I don't see how you can totally have no idea that you are pregnant? Surely you must be able to feel the baby move especially at the latter stages, makes me wonder if sometimes they are just in denial about it. Thats just my opinion i can't say for sure coz i've never been there but having been pregnant you can surely feel the baby move....i get some people don't really show but a baby moving is such a definite strong feeling i don't see how you can miss it.
