Do you class 'sound words' as words

I wouldnt count them as words, but they are definitely signs that your LO is learning! Paige has hundreds of words now at 18 months, and copies everything we say. Some of her words arent pronounced properly but they become clearer every day. At 14 months, she had less than 5 words, and now shes very advanced. Its like she just decided to talk overnight. I definitely wouldnt worry at 14 months hun x
