Can I really do this? I mean I know I can it's a lot of hard work that you can't ever really prepare for! Just has taken me by suprise I guess. Anyone else?

Oh def felt this way with my first! But your confidence def continues to grow the longer youre a mom:hugs:

Not the baby stage, this bit is so easy......I get worried about school & teen years and coping with her going out alone.

Oh man the baby stage is super hard for me at least. I think once he starts do all the cool stuff and one day sttn it will get better. I will be better at it after I've done it awhile I'm sure. Kind of like getting a new job I guess.

Yes I felt like that with my first - it's just new mum shock, everyone gets it. For me personally nothing has been as tough as the newborn stage with my daughter, not teething, not tantrums, not chickenpox, not even having another and coping with two. It gets easier and you get more confident but nothing can prepare you for first becoming a parent. It hits you at full force, like nothing else in life, no matter how much you think you're ready.

ETA - for now I'm just in denial that they'll ever be teenagers though.... ;)

The newborn stage makes me not want to have any more kiddos! I know everyone says that but I'm confident I can only handle it once.

Oh hun i have said categorically no more children. didnt enjoy being pregnant didnt enjoy the newborn bit but now my munchkin is 7 months old i am actually contemplating having another! (a few years down the line mind you!!) it does get easier and even the bad days are not as bad as the newborn bit!

I don't really have time to 'think', I just do. I know she needs taking care of, and I do the best I can to engage with her. She is such a sponge, soaking up everything on a daily basis. I'm a SAHM, so on some days I feel a bit slow/fatigued and worry that I am failing her on that day, but other days are amazing and I am able to entertain her, so I make up for the slower days.

It was so bloody horrible I just thought what the hell have I done. But it gets so much better I promise you. Just hang in there :hugs:
