Do you know any Sophies?

I love the name Sophie but it's just made the top 10 list where I live. Do you know any babies/ kids named Sophie where you live? I don't personally know any Sophies, and lots of people I know have just had babies and none of them are Sophie.
I'm just trying to get a 'feel' for how popular the name really is.

The only Sophie i know is my age - 25.

I love the name Sophie, Its one of the names that keeps popping into my head. I asked OH about it earlier and he kept saying Soapy as a joke back at me. Even with him saying that i still love it and think he does too as any other name he says No straight away lol.

I seem to know loads of people with babies called Sophia though these days.

i only know a sophia, Sophie is a lovely name and considered it when i was having Eden but OH wasnt keen.

I think its very feminine and suits any age from baby to adult.

I guess it depends where you're from. I know quite a few Sophies of my age (late 20s early 30s) and a few younger ones, but I think it's a really pretty name.

My friend said the other day she likes the name Jack for her baby but it's too popular. I asked her how many (baby) Jack's she knows and there are none! Same with Sophie! I think maybe people get put off by 'popular' names and don't use them. I'd say go for it if you like it. Poppy's middle name is Sophia which I love - wish we'd saved it for baby #2

I went to school with loads of Sophie's.. there were five in my year at school and there were only 90 in the year. But I'm about to turn 20! My OH's niece is called Sophie, she's about 12, and my Mum is a nursery teacher and she hasn't had a Sophie for about 5 years x

I have a step-sister named Sophie and she has a friend named that as well. I'm 20 and didn't have any friends named that growing up though.
