I've seen a few posts of girls wondering if they qualify for this section.

I just wanted to say that technically LTTTC = 12 months or more of trying. Just because there are girls that have been trying longer than that, doesn't mean you don't count...you do and it is scary to hit that 12 month mark thats for sure. So you're all welcome :hugs:

Another thing i'd like to suggest and i'm sure lots of the girls will back me up on this, is that if you AREN'T LTTTCer please don't post in here!!! To give well wishes is fine, its appreciated and doesn't make us feel forgotten, but to come in here as a 'fertile' and dish out advice or undermine our feelings (see 5th page of Curly Sues 'why aren't we this fertile thread?') is a kick in the guts and something I personally don't ever want to see again!!!

Just thought i'd throw this out there and sorry to mods if i'm over stepping the mark

I have to agree (sorry mods if my agreeing over steps anything) but as I am sitting here not having periods, not ovulating, been thru 2 unsucessful rounds of Clomid before the Dr basically told me that the Clomid was pointless for me, saving up money for my 2nd IUI and another round of Follistim injections, b/c the first one did not work, watching my cousins and friends all get pregnant very easily, I find SO MUCH comfort in coming to the Long Term section and feeling a little bit more normal knowing there are other woman struggling with similar issues, and it is very hard when another member seems to discount the heartache.

sorry for rambling but I think you ladies get the idea:hug:

I agree aswell, though dont forget this section is also for those needing assited conception for however long they have been ttc (i know this is usually past 12 months but some cases not)

Oh good point AG, forgot to add that one in!

Yes, I think there is so much comfort to be found in this section from other people going through the same or similar thing.

I agree. I find a strange comfort coming into this section - knowing that I'm not the only one struggling. I wouldn't wish it on anyone, but knowing that there are others in a similar position makes me feel a little more normal - if you know what i mean.

I agree, i hope i also count, as 13th cycle TTC and 14months TTC no OV for 12 cycles and Cycles up to 70days... Failed Clomid 4cyles.

I have Ovulated last month for the first time but don't know if it is a healthy O or just signs as im having more tests done end september.

And my heart goes out to the girls that have been here much longer than me, and have more problems than me but i do feel allot beter and in a way sane in LTTC....

Totally agree FJL, i have been TTC for nearly 10 years so i am pretty sure i qualify!

Hi

I hope I'm included too. I know I have kids now, but I was a LTTCer and I've been through ICSI so hopefully I have something useful to add from time to time.

aww tracie, so sorry to hear this. I hope that they discover for you ASAP so that you can carry full term, hun!:hug::hug::hug:

i have only been ttc ten months but undergoing invasive tests etc. reason why i think my gp is pushing it is because i suffered a complete molar in 06/07 and received 5 months of chemo.. don;t think i should get preferential treatment coz of this but think it may be a factor as to why i havnt conceived yet.
please let me stay on this board, i don't feel i belong on the normal ttc board.

Your story is what gives me hope that it will one day happen for me!

well...i dont know where i belong anymore....My main problem is that i dont have a problem i.e. i ovulate fine, have perfect cycles and i managed to conceive although ended in mc in feb. My problem is im running out of time, i'll be 39 in less than 7 months ...i fear that my age is an factor in ttc. Have been ttc since April '07. Feel like im between a rock and a hard place.. i know i am and and have been luckier than many other women on here but feel like i should have a forum all my own called 'old eggs' or something...its a real worry and im terrified i wont get any help- have to go back to docs in the new year...

Hope i havent offended anyone as i realise im not technically having problems but it feels very much like a major problem to me...

I have great respect and admiration for all of you btw!!!

, Omi

I have been TTC for 2 years & 8 months!!!! I have had all my bloods done & am just waiting for my appointment to see the consultant.

Good luck to all you LT-TTCer's & lots & lots & lots of baby dust to us all!!

I would love to know how long it's going to take me to get pregnant. What I don't understand is that my tubes are apparently clear. Therefore, I SHOULD be able to get pregnant despite having 'multiple spots of endo' including endo behind the cervix/uterus.

Could be my effed up hormones then eh?

Regardless of anything, it's been ages, I'm not pregnant so, meh.
