Crib bumpers, mattress covers, etc... before using them? I'm trying to get the crib ready and I'm planning to wash everything. Just curious on other opinions. Thanks!

I'm planning on washing everything, yes- just to make sure that it doesn't have that weird just out of the packet chemically smell. xx

The only thing I've washed so far is the blankets to soften them up x

Might as well. Most babies aren't so sensitive that it would do much harm if they weren't...but think about how much better you sleep after your bedding has been washed a few times. Smells nice and clean, it's nice and soft...
So if I have the time (which I CLEARLY do right now...) I go ahead and wash it all. But I'm also not afraid to put something on LO straight from the store if I'm in a hurry, or get caught out without an extra outfit or something.

I have. I bought my new Moses basket last week and took all the bits off and washed them. I'm going to keep them in a vacuum bag until the baby comes. That way they don't gather dust. Lol. I also wash all the baby grows and things. I didn't with my first 2 but for some reason shops have become smellier and less hygienic. When I take the baby grows out of the bags they smell like plastic, so definitely require a wash.

can you put a bumper in the washer? i was wondering about this for ages but felt silly asking!!! xx

Yes, definitely- you have to be able to wash everything associated with babies as occasionally you're going to get sick, wee, poo, paint, crayons and anything else you can think of on them- its bound to happen and you dont want to be buying new each time. xx
