Hey girls. As the title says really, I'm just wondering if your lines get darker quicker when you have twins? Mine seem to be getting darker quicker than they were with my son. I'm a twin myself so maybe that means that I'm more likely to have twins, I don't know. I have a 7 month old little boy and it took 3.5 years to conceive him and I found out on Wednesday that I'm pregnant again - definitely a little sooner than I'd anticipated. Having twins and a baby of about 15/16 months would be some serious hard work.

I'm sure that it won't be but just interested to know if your lines did get darker quicker x

My lines were pretty dark but they were the same with my son. They say you can't tell from HCG's and lines are based on HCG.
I will have a similar gap to what you would be looking at and am nervous but getting more confident.
Good luck

No. They were light for weeks. The only valid reason for you to think you may be having twins is the fact you are a twin yourself. Congratulations on your pregnancy x

Are you an identical twin or fraternal? Officially only fraternal twins have a genetic component. Identical twins are just surprise blessings.

Hey hun, apart from the test being positive a day earlier than with my singletons I cant say it was any different in terms of speed of getting darker. As for conceiving quickly after your last baby, I have always maintained that pregnancy seems to kick start fertility, and lots of women are surprised by a quick conception soon afterwards :) Good luck xx

No my lines were much the same. If anything I would say I found out definitively at 8dpo, but progression was much the same, the giveaway was the bHCG results, and then early ultrasound.

As above its frats that are genetic.

My lines did get dark fast. My 1st test was at 10dpo and was a very faint pink line and the next day at 11dpo it was a red line. Every woman produces hcg differently. You could just have 1 healthy baby growing.

My lines were more or less the same. I had no idea I was having twins until the 12 week scan.
Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Nope. I am carrying fraternal twins and my lines looked the same. The only difference it is that I was able to find out a week before AF was due, which was pretty early. It all truly depends on the type of test used, there are some in which the ink appears stronger than in others.

My lines were definitely darker :) I was one of the one on here asking and sort of got shot down--- but here I am. haha.

I got a line 9dpo with the twins and 10dpo with my son. My son's never actually got darker than control, and these ones were darker in I think 5 days or so? So 14dpo :)

Thank you. I do hate it on here when people ask a question and people go off on one! That's what the forum is for isn't it? Not that any of you ladies have done that! God I should know this but I don't know what fraternal twins are? I'm a non-identical twin and I'm female and my twin is my brother. Is that fraternal or non-fraternal? x

My lines were the same as well. In fact they were so faint 10dpo I was surprised the digi even called it a positive test! When we got PG again my daughter was 11 months old, so some what in the same boat age wise except we purposely got PG thinking it was going to be just one more! LOL!

Good luck and congratulations!!!!!
