When I was preg last and at doc appointments, the ladies used to ask for the middle pee as the first bit that comes out is too concentrated and can throw off the tests. Not sure if that works the same for hcg?
I wondered this myself. I know that at the doctors they make you pee a little, then catch the rest in the cup. I'm not sure if that has to do with the dilution of the sample or simply the fact that hcg will evaporate out of a sample if you let it sit too long at room temperature.
I think in pregnancy when they ask for a mid-stream sample its so they kno the sample isnt contaminated with cm so if theres an infection they kno its from the urine. But not sure whats best for hcg?!
