Does anyone get bacterial vaginosis and or yeast infections from sperm?

I am prone to getting bacterial vaginosis. I have had it several times from the ages of 22 and now. The first time I ever got one I was 22, and it was from letting my BF at the time ejactulate in me.

After that year, I had them reccurently and that was without actively having sex, and when I was, I had no sperm in me. Bascially between the ages of 23 and 27, no BF really ejactulated in me.

I started NTNP probably April of last year... Never got pregnant, but had maybe 3 or 4 bacterial infections from it.

Again I got a bacterial infection in July. Follwed by a yeast infection, which was likely caused because of the medication to get rid of the bacterial infection. So I cleared up the yeast infection, and started TTC at the end of my period, around 5th of this month.

I have yet to get a bacterial infection, but I am afraid I may get one. Then that sucks because you obviously cant TTC while taking the meds to clear it.

Anyone else experience this?

I take BV pills or other pills which contain "good bacteria" to keep these at bay. They are all natural so it's totally fine to take them everyday to keep BV and yeast infections away.

Yeah I get both in bouts from time to time. After my son was born I had both and couldn't shake them off for weeks - it was horrible! You can ask for your OH to be treated too - my DH was prescribed something at the same time as me (sorry, don't remember the name!) Bear in mind they can be aggravated by using perfumed toiletries, douching, tight underwear or trousers, getting too hot down there and your diet. Avoid sugary foods and alcohol (yeah I know!!) xxx

I sometimes will eat a clove of garlic to keep these at bay, when I remember.... Do you know if these pills will interfere with TTC...

I never had this until 2 years ago and it seems like nothing I do helps, I eat halfway decent, I took folic acid not only because of ttc but its supoose to help with bv, also taken acidphilodous which is suppose to help, also did the round of antibotics still nothing seems to make it go away. I did hear about L. Reuteri so just started that one a day its been two days and nothing, usually after BD it seems to always show up but so far so good. You can get it at any drug store you just need to check the probotics for this strain
