so we went to get Barry some winter appropriate clothes, a few more sleepers, long sleeved tops and warmer pants, now so far hes always just walked around in bare feet in the house as its been warm, now its getting colder we bought some socks and a pair of shoes.

so we take him to walmart and placed his feet against the bottom of shoes, size 3 way too small, size 4 too small, sure enough he fits into a size 5! That seems so big when i se other people here saying 3's and 4's and heres my little man with a long torso, short legs and...Big feet?! :dohh:

we decided to get hard soled shoes mainly because his GP advised against soft soled because he has club foot slightly in one foot and keeps turning it in, he says that hard soled shoes would help him walk better with flat feet. makes sense to me i guess, however when i put the shoe on that foot its quite hard to get on because he turns his foot while im trying to get it in! any tips?!

once on he walks greats just fine in them!

My guy is in size 5 as well! I stand him up when Putting his shoes on so he pushes down. Does that make sense? Or I'll push on his knee to jam his foot in. I'll break a swear most days getting his damn shoes on. Lol.

A UK4 is a US5, My little man got his feet measured at 12 months and he was a 4 :)

At 13 months when Omar got his 1st proper shoes he was size 5 (Clarks sizes - Eur 21). Now he wears size 7 (Eur size 24)

What Sabby said about the difference in shoe sizes between the US & UK! Ronan was in a 5 at a year old and into a 7 (US) less than 6 months later.

Liam has been a size 5G since July, so from 14 months. He was a 4.5F before his first birthday :)

I think that ius about right cos my kids seem to have small hands and feet for their ages!! My 5 year old has just started size 8 and my 2.5 year old is still in size 5

my lo is just going into a uk 6 which is a us 7 :)

Ihsan was a 5 at that age too. He is now a 6f and has been for a few months :)

Rosie was a 4.5 in Clarks, which in US i believe is a 5.5 and that was just before her 1st birthday. Now she is nearly 3 and a size 9 which i believe a US 10. I wouldnt worry one bit chuck. x

My LO is 10 months and is in a UK 4.5 - is that a US 5.5? LOL xx

MrsNovBaby yes the Us is just a size higher then the UKs.

Its reassuring to hear all this other toddlers with same size feet, i keep reading the shoe threads and everyones always saying 3's and 4's and im like...5 wont be long till a 6 over here! lol

Connor was in size 5's at 12 months, and now in 7's at 18 months.

A 5? No I think it's normal, isn't it? Mine is an 8... lol, geez he is some kind of beast or something?

Zander was a size 5 US at a year old and he is now a size 7 7.5 or 8 depending on the brand he just outgrew his nikes in a size 7 but they run small and his shoes now are Vans and they run big so they are size 7! my oldest son was a size 3 very early at like 3 months old  he is now a 3 in boys at 7 yrs old!

sounds average for bnb kids. My little girl has small feet though - size 5 at 2 and a half.

Cart wears a 5 right now. As far as him turning his foot, no tips, maybe in the future get shoes that have a tongue that comes out farther so there is more room to get it on. I don't know if that made any sense??

my LO also has big feet. hes a UK size 7, and he also has a long torso, short legs and big feet lol. but hes v tall :)

Daisy is a uk 5, she's not especially tall either, between the 50th and 75th. My brother is 15, 6'2" and a UK 13, I hope she doesn't follow in his massive footsteps!
