Does estrace effect period?

I have no clue when my period is due. Some time this week.
My iui was cancelled this cycle, so I don't know exactly when I ovulated. They kept me on estrace only, no prometrium this month.
I know the drop in progesterone is what triggers menstruation, but does estrace influence at all?
I've had ewcm all month, cervix is still high, soft, open.... All signs of higher estrogen
I just have no clue what to expect! Were your periods heavier on estrace?

For anyone else looking for this info......
I'm currently 17 dpo, negative beta. So, yes it can affect when your menstrual cycle starts. My clinic said you estrogen levels also decline at the end of a cycle so because mine are still high, even though my progesterone may have dropped, my period has not started yet.
