Our second boy is due in June and we've found it so difficult to think of a name.. Partly because we were convinced he was another girl! Lol..

The middle name we are using is Dennis, after my paternal grandfather. And our favourite boys name is Dylan. The baby's name will be Dylan Dennis Harvey.

I keep saying it over and over in my head to make sure it flows off the tongue okay and people won't think it's an odd combination. Any thoughts.. I won't be offended. Xx

To me personally, the double D doesn't roll. They're great separately but not when said together. In my opinion of course. If I was set on those names but was having a hard time with whether they worked I would double middle name it and put a buffer between the 2 d's. Like Dylan Alexander Dennis or Dylan Michael Dennis (just as examples, not necessarily because they sound better lol). that's the best of both to me but double middles aren't for everyone lol. Really like both names though!

The double d is quite a mouthful. It's not bad, just a little wordy to say. Could you give him a second middle name, possibly after another family member?

Dylan his grandpa's name Dennis Harvey

It's certainly nit uncommon to have two middle names. My nephews middle names are Thomas James

I don't think it sounds that bad, i actually quite like it. How often will you refer to his middle name? For insistence our youngest has just turned 1 and at times I actually forget his middle name as we use it so rarely

I don't mind it! We have chosen the middle name Dennis as well after my dad who passed away when I was 12. We have yet to agree on a boy name but honestly, I am not going to let the name Dennis affect it... I like the name Owen and Owen Dennis doesn't flow great, but whatever. :) Dennis is an important name to me and I want a first name I love. But if it is a girl, we won't have to worry about it!

I think it's fine. I agree with someone else who mention how often do you actually say them out loud anyways. Usually it's just the first name, and it's nice to have his middle name after a family member. The only time you'll hear it all out loud is at a school graduation ceremony and it's not like it's difficult to pronounce. It's fine!

My son is Matthew Dennis :) tbh it doesnt flow great but I can count the number of times I have used it like that on one hand as school dont use them so I wouldnt worry x

It doesn't roll as well as other names might but since it's a family name it's not bad enough to replace. Really it sounds perfectly ok!
