Hello,

Question regarding a situation my wife and I are in. Her period was due today and is having a variety of symptoms but we are trying to not get out hopes up. After feeling nauseas this evening (around 7pm) she broke down a tried a digital test which was negative.

She drank quite a bit of liquid during the day and went to the bathroom A LOT today as well. She also didn't have much pee for the test (barely a dribble, TMI sorry).

Will these things actually matter and affect the test or am I grasping at straws hoping for something that is not there?

Thank you

hey ,yes the time of the day matters specially if trying to detect early pregnancy ,best time to test of pregnancy is morning as her hcg levels will be at the highest due to lack of fluids (cause she been sleeping) and concentrated morning sample where it been stored in bladder overnight , my advice would be test in the morning ideally using the first wee of the day for most accurate results

good luck
