My dog is starting to make me paranoid. I definitely think she can sense that I'm pregnant. She follows me everywhere. When I'm laying in bed she will put her front feet up on the bed as if to check to make sure I'm okay. Like right now, I'm sitting on the couch and shes just staring at me. And she will patiently lay right by the couch until I get up. I know she means well but jeeze haha.

lol cute. animals and pets in general seem to have good indication of pregnancy. i'm not sure why, but i can see how annoying it can get. good luck with that lol

Not my dogs. They act like they have no clue lol I have two great Danes. One female one male

Awww!!! Look at it's sooky gorgeous face! That's exactly what my lab x does - he's a boy and he is sooooo nurturing with me.

It's weird, my smaller Cav x which is a female is very distant with me.... and almost bitchy. She has become very demanding and pushy when it comes to food, but doesn't want any hugs.... it's like she has lost respect for me now. :(

I have started to have to put her in line about it, she get's very cowardly when i tell her off for acting bratty.... but if i let her get away with it she acts very bitchy towards me. If i use any sort of discipline with her now she get's very cowardly and completely closed off.

I think because she is so small i have let her get away with too much. Time to start getting on top of that! She's is a good dog, not vicious at all or anything like that. She is just trying to be the alfa female i think.

How cute!

My older kitty has been extra snuggly with me for the past few weeks. She never used to sleep on the bed and now she spends every night curled up next to my legs...every time I lie down on the couch, she comes a running to snuggle on my tummy!

I went to a housewarming party on the weekend and there was a little poodle X dog there...she tested out everyone's lap, decided she liked mine best and snuggled right into my tummy and fell asleep for like 2 hours!

My dogs don't seem to know/care. I know when my mom was pregnant with my brother, her cat refused to lie on her belly, even though it was his favorite spot! He def knew.

My cats are the same way. My calico likes to curl up on my tummy, and my husband says she thinks she's helping me incubate. Haha.

Animals have a really good sense about these things though, so its no surprise. Enjoy the extra attention!

My cav x acted like a total b*tch at first as well, it was almost like she was always mad at me. She started favoring my husband and completely trying to come steal my food. I quickly put a stop to her food behavior, as she has been trained food that is not in her bowl is not hers and knows she is to leave it. As we have progressed she has definitely gone back to a momma's girl and is back sleeping on my tummy as we speak! She for sure knows something is up!!!

My dog did the same thing, followed me everywhere....constantly needing to be picked up and cuddled and needing just my attention not my oh or my roommates. It started a week before I took my pt and lasted a couple weeks after, till i was about 5 weeks. Now shes normal :)

That is soooo sweet!! Some dogs are so perceptive. My MIL's dog knows when she's planning a long trip to Mexico (she takes one every year or so to take care of her mother and visit, etc). He follows her around just like your dog as if to say "Don't forget to say goodbye! I know you're leaving soon for a loong time!".

Also, sadly, he is VERY old and nearing the end of his life, and has been doing the same thing the last few weeks :(. We all know it's coming soon and he will be missed.

They become your family members and their loss is devastating. It's not fair that something that precious doesn't share our lifespan!!!

One of my cats will NOT get off of me since I got pregnant.. he has to be on top of me all the time no matter where I am!

my dog continues to follow me everywhere - but he always has so nothing has really changed lol. he's such a mama's boy.

I have a lab and before I got my bfp she kept laying on her back while I was in bed and trying to rub her face and back all over me! It was so freaken weird and she did it both times I was preg.
My dog also follows me round, comes up to me and puts a paw on me or her head. This morning after I had a big spew I lay back down for a bit and she came and put her head on my belly and looked at me haha Both my cat and dog were there for me when I mc too would not leave my side while I was in bed, My OH said it was kinda sad to see because you could tell they were sad too.

its so sweet that animals can sense things, I have no doubt they know somehow. Maybe its their super senstive hearing? maybe they can hear something we can't :p I wouldn't know how else they would know!

I have two labs and they have become so protective of me. If I am anywhere in the house they will follow me and guard me.. If I am alone in the house the dogs go on patrol by the front door. If I am in bed they will sit by me and if anyone comes to my bedroom door they jump off the bed and start barking/growling at the door.

When pregnant they become my guard dogs.

My doggies def know something's up! My boy spaniel has gone uber protective and is always lying at my feet and cuddling up to me. He's extra gentle now, and seems to be being careful to avoid accidentally jumping up. My girl dalmation collie x has been really peed off for the last few weeks! I think maybe she was jealous of the boy being extra attentive. This last week or so she's come back round and is being cuddlier than ever :)

My friend said one of the reasons she susptected she was preg was because her cats kept jumping up on her bed and smelling her breath and acting strangely - so maybe the hormones make you smell different? Animals are very perceptive about stuff, especially within their 'pack'.

I love my girl, she may make me paranoid but she cares and shes doing what she thinks is right :)

My dog really didn't start getting like this until about a week ago. Now she won't leave me side.
