Hello! I started Dom when my son was 3 months old and had my script upped to 4 pills 4xday. I am starving all the time. I mean major pains and cravings. I didn't crave much sugar when pregnant or before starting the med but now I can't help but have serious cravings for things like chocolate (which I usually don't eat). I try to eat healthy (veggies and salads) and I find I never get full. I also then seem to drop my BM supply if I don't eat high calories.

I was wondering if any of you have any tips for eating better and beating these cravings while still making enough milk? I have gained 10lbs since my son was 4 months.

I have thought about trying to go back to only herbal supplements, but they didn't work before. But I can't go on like this. None of my clothes fit me. :( My son likes to be with me all the time and I have two jobs so I just can't find the time to exercise except walking a few times a week.

You could try eating sweet things like fruit instead maybe? A few treats are fine when BFing but you obviously want to reduce that down. Try working out at home if you want to fit in some exercise? Or maybe mum and baby yoga etc? X

I wish I had time to work out at home as I used to. I am working on answering emails right now otherwise I shouldn't even be on here. I don't even have extra time to take my baby to nursery swim which he loves and I feel guilty about that.

I have been trying to cut down on carbs and eat more protein but it isn't helping. For example I was starving so I ate 2 chicken breasts. I was still very hungry so a while later I ate another chicken breast (they were small). I was still hungry (!) and craving sweets so I had some cherries. That still didn't help. At this moment it has been a couple hours and I still feel hungry. Carbs help but I am trying to stay away from them. I get bad hunger pains sometimes too.

I am also extremely tired. I feel run down and like I am just getting sick all the time and I am usually never sick. I wonder if lack of sleep is part of why I crave sugar as my body needs energy? Had anybody had that happen? Last night I ignored some work and went to bed early. I think I need a month of sleep to catch up!

I totally think being tired makes us crave sugar :hugs: The good nights makes me eat healthier but when I'm tired I'm just like 'ugh. Get a mcdonalds' :haha:

:flower: You will get through it x

Have you tried taking a magnesium supplement? Sometimes a slight magnesium deficiency can cause feeling hungry and food cravings xx

No I haven't. I was thinking about going to the doctor and seeing if I was vit b12 or iron deficient though. Maybe he could just check everything.
