Done with 12 weeks scanning. But...

I had my 12 weeks scan today. Baby is all fine and good. But the sonographer didnt give a heartrate. She said thats done by midwife not by them. I have seen many ladies here sharing experience. Growth wise she showed evrything heart, brain, hand legs. She couldnt also take the nuchal length bcos of babys position. First baby was stuborn in one position. Then when it started moving it was super active and wouldnot come on the needed position. I have to go back for a blood test at 15 weeks. What i am confused about is the heartrate. Is the sonographer right?

I've never found out what my baby's heartbeat rate is, even with my first it was never mentioned!

I was confused bcos i have seen ladies sharing here. Anyways baby is growing fine and is 2 days ahead of my calculations

Hi are you in the uk or elsewhere they do things differently in some places x

every tech and every ultrasound place is different .. Normally they dont tell u the heart rate .. I specifically used to ask for mine.. Cus I wanted to make sure it's a good heart rate but to be honest i used to try and guess if it's a boy or girl .. so if it's over 140 they say girl and under they say boy.. But that doesn't really work cus there's been way too many times the heart rate was 175 or something and Someone had a boy.. My daughters was always 130-140 and she is a girl !
and once I asked n the tech knew y i was asking and said that theory doesn't work LOL .. She knew what I was trying to do ! As long as they said everything else is fine then don't worry about anything else ! if there was something to worry about ur dr would call u in forsure!
