how no one says please and
thankyou anymore!!

:dohh: :nope:

I'll admit I am bad at saying please. But i speak politely in general, so it doesnt make to much difference.

I always say thank you.

People in general are really rude these days. Its like in thier head they justify their behaviour stress/time whatever. Generally show a lack of respect for other people.

I was just saying to OH last night I want to move to the middle of nowhere so I dont have to deal with people anywhere near my home!

OMG this annoys me so so much!
I work in a supermarket and it really pisses me off when I help someone and they just walk off and don't say thank you. Or if they want some help, instead of saying 'excuse me where is' they say 'oi' pet hate of mine lmao. Manners costs nothing

tell me about it. there's a shop on the way into town, and the woman behind the till (the owner) doesn't say hello, doesn't even look at you as she scans your items, doesn't say please after telling you the price, and doesn't even say thank you afterwards

I have been boycotting it, but now the shop by my house has closed, it's the nearest place I can get a coke

i make a point to say please, thank you, may i, etc ALL OF THE TIME. it irritates me how people can be so rude and not even realize it.

I hate it when people have no manners :( it's so rude.

This drives me mad. The weird thing is, I always make a point of saying please and thank you. It gets me the strangest looks! Like today, someone stopped and waited for me (with the pushchair and a large box) to go past in the shopping centre. It saved me either having to stop or go around her, so I said thank you. She looked at me like I'd grown a second head!

it really gets on my nerves!
i was bought up using manners and i am always polite and say sorry if i bump ppl ect but now ile be walking holding zanes hands and adults will walk right into us and dont even blink, not to mention old ppl think i should move out of their way. what about moving out of each others way? n they say its the young who have no manners. if someone walks into me or something i will say loudly oh no need to say sorry or something like that.

but when i was 8 months pregnant this woman banged right into my bump when we were in a empty isle...i saw red and went for her and was about to start shouting but my oh grabbed me lol

i feel a rant coming on now lol it really gets my goat, manners arent difficult.

i hate people bump into you and then just
walk off huffing or when i move to let people
through when im in asda or something and they
ignore the fact i bloody moved for them :growlmad:
i always make sure they hear
me when saying 'you're welcome' in a sarcastic voice lol

i'm freecycling loads of emily's clothes
clothes i paid a small fortune for them new
and not one person has replied saying
please and thankyou :nope:

bah it happens all the time on there
i'll just keep them until someone's polite
enough to ask properly :coffee:
i've waited days before just to make sure
her things find a nice new home lol

i wouldnt give them my stuff unless they used manners either lol my oh thinks im petty but i just think its not difficult to say thanks.

even zane says please and excuse me if ppl are in his way wen we are out, they cant hear him but he says it lol

aww i make sure emily says thankyou
well it's 'tar' to her but it still counts
and when she says please it comes out
as 'peas' but all children should use their
manners i agree

think a couple of people could learn from
our kiddy winks

hahah yeah zane says peas, he doesnt say thank you he signs it instead lol (sign language)

it was so cute, we went to b&q and he was on his trike, we were in the que and had ppl infront of us. zane didnt want to wait so he kept sayin excuse me which they didnt hear, but it was so cute. altho the ppl infront were rude as we tried to get past to pack our shoppin n they wouldnt move out of the way to get zanes trike round

aw that's well cute :cloud9:

just wait until he shouts it
they'll soon move

i was suprised he didnt shout move at them, but he must save that for just shouting it at me lol

i will bring zane up with manners but sometimes i do wonder why i bother, as there are so many rude ppl

this really annoys me we recently free cycled a working tumble drier for my friend and needed it gone asap so first to collect got it and the guy was so rude he showed up and said oh if id known it was whilrpool i wont of bothered and why cant you help me carry it then after it was in his car he jumped in and drove off no thank you or goodbye

(and the ad did say whilrpool and i couldnt be sure there would be someone to help carry it out)

If people don't thank me when I move out of their way or open doors for them I make a point of saying YOU'RE WELCOME.

how blooming rude  :nope:

I had an experience with rude manners today in Tesco actually
I let a woman go in front of me at the checkout as she only had one item and did I get a Thank you??? Did I heck :growlmad:
She was an oldie as well and I thought they were renowned for their good manners..seems not and the amount of times Iv heard old people moaning about the younger generations lack of manners  ..

I always say Please and thank you and I always get my kids to as well.

It bugs me something chronic when people don't know how/cba to be polite :growlmad:

I was annoyed the other day because I was returning some sleepsuits to Peacocks that were in packaged as 9-12 months but the inside label said 3-6 months so it wasn't like I had just decided I didn't like them.

So I was polite asking for the refund and explaining the mistake....the girl looked at me like I was from Mars, she didn't say sorry or anything, she just shouted "Matt I'm doing a refund" across the shop :dohh: then she messed about with the till for a minute and dumped some money in my hand. I made a point then of not saying thank you to her - great customer service eh?!
