Hi

I should have my rented doppler arriving today. However 1)is it too early to hear and 2)with my anterior placenta stop me being able to hear?

Thanks:thumbup:

i have mine arriving today too!
not too sure about how the anterior placenta will affect things but i would say u certainly arent too early to hear something otherwise as i know they say 12 weeks on u can normally hear something, sometimes even earlier like at 10 weeks.
i know u are anxious like me so dont worry too much if u have difficulty picking something up x

Hi, I have an anterior placenta and can hear the heartbeat fine now but did struggle to begin with. I only got my doppler at 16 weeks and even then it did take me a while, it was quite faint but usually found it after a few minutes.

the key thing to remember is not to panic if it does take a while... xx

I won't thanks. I definately think the placenta may make it harder as it's like a cushion at the front. Glad everything is going well for you so far. I'm still neurotic since the weekend but since the blood was all brown and there's no more, cm is milky again I suppose I should just enjoy being on the sick from work for this week!

i have an anterior placenta and i picked up peanuts heartbeat from around 11 weeks ish? if not earlier on my angelsounds doppler

i love my angelsound doppler, just remember to have patients & move it VERY slowly, they are soo addictive, but i love hearing my LO HB :)

I have an anterior placenta and had no problem picking up HB. My MW picked it up at 14 weeks and I have been able to find it myself since!

X

Well, it came. First near the right hip, I think I found my blood vessels and pulse was about 70-80 bpm then I found my whooshing placenta which was fast but not much more than my pulse then then in the middle I could hear it faint then a little bit stronger, approx 140bpm so surely I must have been in right place?

if you aim the doppler in a downwards direction from your hip you should find beanie :) 140bpm sounds like it could be right
