Just got my Doppler through and found babies heartbeat within minutes! I am so happy. At first all I could hear was a swooshing noise then my own heartbeat but then I heard babies. The Doppler I have has a screen and the heartbeat was 172 which seems quite high should I be worried do you think? This convinces me even more that it's a boy. I really want to go listen again but an going to hold off till OH gets home.

For anyone looking to rent one I ordered mine off eBay just before this time yesterday and got it today which I thought was great. It's a hi-bebe not sure what model but the one with a screen. I have it for a month and it was about £22 altogether including postage and got a huge bottle of gel with it. Can't remember the sellers name but if anyones interested I can look through my emails. I would highly recommend. I'm eleven weeks so found it quite early I think. Xx

Awww congrats! 172 is nothing to worry about...Sounds healthy to me :)
Mine was about that too - It's normal to be fast so dont worry

Aww thanks :). I had been so worried that something was wrong but hearing it has totally put my mind at ease =D xx

im renting the same one except mines not got lcd screen on it, i was able to find my baby's heart beat rather easy aswell and have found it twice since then i ordered it day before ad got it next day....i love it lol i mannually took heart rate which aprox was 140-150 but i know i did miss a few counts as it was very fast lol x x x

A question on this. When you are finding the heartbeat, do you, every now and then, get a loud, quick, interference. (So loud it made me jump last night!), I was wondering whether its bubs kicking? Or maybe just wind lol.

I have to say, I do sometimes have to chase it around once I find the heart beat, I think I have a wriggler...

So are the Hebe ones the best ones to get?

Mines a hi-bebe and its great! I think they're all good really but I think the ones with the screens which tell you the heart rate are the best ones :flower:

:hug@

I dont think hi bebes are that good really just the same as a cheap doppler i would happily buy a angel sounds one

I have the angel sounds one (which arrived today) and found something but i think it might be the placenta rather than the heart - although facsinating all the same. It kind of sounds like a beat but it is quite slow and i have heard that it is possible to to hear the blood pulcing between you and baby (its not my own heart as this is very low down and well away from my heart). Can anyone give any tipes where I should be aiming at 13 weeks to hear baby and not other stuff?

I've been trying with an Angel-sounds dopplers since week 8 and have had no luck finding the baby's HB. I am now 15 weeks pregnant. I think I am just rubbish at finding it actually.

I can hear baby moving around (like a whale underwater lol) though. He/she was really active during my ultrasound so maybe he just runs away when I use the doppler and won't let me hear the heartbeat.
