I was really wanting to get one but not sure what is the best and where to order it from...any suggestions ladies? I am 8+2 and what will the earliest be that I could hear the hbs as I am expecting twins. Thank you in advance

Congrats on the twins!

I have a HiBebe - could hear from 10 weeks, but not earlier.

Also, there are a lot of fans of Angelsounds out there.

Have fun!

Where did you get yours? I have looked on line as there is no place in my small town that sells them. I have seen so many options.

I just read that other thread where the mom heard the hb every day then couldn't find it... seems like that happens a lot if you listen early.
It totally convinced me to NOT get a doppler.... I don't need the extra stress if baby just isn't in position one night, you know?

If you go with a 2mHz doppler, you should be able to hear the hb from 10-12 weeks, but if you get a 3mHz doppler you should be able to hear it as early as 7weeks supposedly. You won't neccessarily be able to hear the hb everytime you listen though until later, when the baby is a bit bigger. Also, the effect the doppler has on the baby in mass use isn't known, so it should not be used on a daily basis. My MIL is a midwife and recommends use on no more than a weekly basis.
Hope this helps!

I heard on a sonoline from 11 weeks (although I didnt try before then). I got mine from Amazon. I found it quite amazing actually..:)

Ive heard on my angelsounds since 9w2d, but in my previous pregnancy i refused to use it til 15 weeks

i borrowed my friend's hibebe, and hated it. i could only hear hb properly at 14 weeks!! and after 2 early m/c it really didn't help.

Thanks for the inputs ladies. I am really looking forward to purchasing one. I think I will get the 3 mHz that I seen on Amazon. I won't expect to hear much til I hear their hbs at the dr office.

I got the 3mhz Sonoline B.. Found the heartbeat at 8w6d!
I really like my doppler!!

My thoughts exactly.....might think about it when im like 17 weeks....

Thanks ladies. I don't plan on using it til I have heard it from the dr first. I think we all are different and I want the piece of mind of being able to hear the hb at home if I want. I know I may not be able to find it every time. :hugs:

As long as you know you might not hear it then it should be fine.
I know that as much as I told myself it would be ok, I'd still freak out and get all hormonal about it, lol. And I wouldn't have the will power to just put it away to avoid the stress.

I got mine on ebay - great deal.

Yes, be very careful not to use it all the time, or too early. Maybe do it after you've had an ultrasound so you know it's healthy and safe already. My hubby hates the thing, because he loses his mind worrying if we don't hear the hb in the first couple seconds.

I had a scary bleed the other day - it took a while to find the hb, and it was extraordinarily worrying while we couldn't find it - but finding it helped a lot with the stress....

I got mine from ebay, I bought the angel sounds one for about £20 which says you can hear HB from about 14 wks, then I got impatient so bought a more expensive 3mhz one for £50 which you can hear with from 7wks apparently.. tho I Was a bit annoyed when I found the HB on both the dopplers at 9wks, so there was no need or the expensive one afterall!
