My moms friend had a baby with down syndrome, and add never test, she four d it out when her daughter was born, she saved herself months and months of worrying.
With my daughter I didn't get it done. But this time I wanna get it done just to find out the sex ... ideas, opinions... haven't talked to husband about it. He is against those test also. I am 22 so my risk is very low

im not sure the downs test is the same as a sex test? i mean they can tell you the sex from a scan but to tell you about downs syndrome you have to do a CVS or amnio.

You don't need an invasive and potentially risky amniocentesis test to find out the sex! A scan at 20 weeks should be able to tell you the sex.
These tests have a risk of miscarriage so you should not undertake them for reasons like finding out the sex. if your bloods come back low risk for abnormalities then I can't see why you would risk your pregnancy by having an amnio. Just wait for the scan to find out the sex.
