Downstairs concerns

It's been 6wks since my vaginal delivery. I had a 3rd degree tear and had stitches. A week later was put on antibiotics. I still haven't got my period yet, but can't go without wearing a panty liner. When I looked 'down there' this morning I seem to have alot of discharge muscus (sorry TMI ). It's like sticky snot (sorry ).

Is this normal, just hormonal changes or should I get this checked out? It's still very uncomfortable down there.

how does it feel? painful?

i think some degree of discharge is normal with stitches but you might want to get it looked at to put your mind at rest.

worst case you will get put on antibiotics

i had some discharge after birth (i also had stitches and a 3rd degree tear) it was kinda like clear snot (TMI sorry) but it sounds as tho when you describe it theres loads which i def didnt have but then that could change from person to person

re the pain i still dont feel completely normal but im 99% there so it does take a while for the pain to go away i mentioned it to my HV about 3 weeks PP and she said its completely normal for people still to be taking pain killers into the 2nd month

if i was you id still go to the docs just to make sure but i wouldnt worry too much about it xx

Mines a yellow discharge

Adam is six months old now and I still get alot off discharge sticky almost like snot and it's a cream colour ( Almost like semen ,sorry TMI). I had an episiotomy and stitches and I'm still kinda tender down there too! If you're at all worried it's better to get yourself checked out, hope all is well!x

i think they usually say if your discharge changes colour then it could mark an infection tho i dont mean to be disgusting here but when my bleeding was finishing it went kinda browny yellow at the end but that was def blood not really discharge xx
