drinking water

As i have started weaning my lo my health visitor said to start offering him water between meals too. But forgot to ask her, does it have to be cool boiled water or can it be straight from the tap? he`s 5 months x

but.. i know u can give tap water from 6 months..but my water isnt that nice can u give them bottled water???
