I went to see a consultant to-day because I was measuring a week ahead of my due date. We were given a scan, my husband came too, all is well with baby, it was great to see him, he's got so big. When I got home I noticed on the scan notes the consultant had moved my due date from 28/10/11 to 20/10/11, will they alter my notes accordingly or leave my due date as it is? I have sent my midwife a text as requested by her, but have yet to hear back. I know it's only a week, but it's a week less, i'm sooo fed up and suffering bad back pain and can't wait for it all to be over tbh! I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but really am fed up now! Thanks for your help.

It's unusual to have your dates moved in the third tri, but if it's been done by the consultant then I'd say that pretty much sets it in stone. I'd have done anything for someone to move me a week forward in the third tri!! lol Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy :)

Thanks for your reply, with a bit of luck my midwife will move my due date, I hope all is well with you too.

hey Bella, if its been done on your notes then its pretty much go go go, but i would keep the news to yourself other wise family will ring non stop asking if you have dropped yet......

that extra week of peace may be bliss

they dont alter it on paperwork so u woudnt be induced until after ur org date.
im measuring 3 weeks ahead but there not chnaging mine meh :( :haha:

altho tbh i only had dating nhs scan at 8 weeks and that was it until later pregnancy

They don't change your due date, its just the way they put it on the scan notes to measure the size of your baby. They'll still only use your original due date.

The scan measurements at this stage can be so far out. Just a day or so ago a girl on here was saying her baby was estimated at 4lbs and so they induced her thinking she'd stopped growing, and the baby weighed 5lbs 9!

The 12 week scan date is the most accurate, so they stick with that.

i was going to say, that i have been five weeks ahead for weeks (months!) and my due date wasn't changed, i'm still very much preggers lol

I'm still on my original due date 8th Dec, and I'm measuring at 34-35 weeks. I wish they would move it forwards, I'm fed up!!!

:hugs:

I measured a week ahead on my 20 week scan and the notes say that, but they didn't change the due date.
