I feel pain on my left side, going on my 3rd month. I have this dull ache only after ovulation, not sure what it is, I went for an ultrasound, they saw a small cyst on my left ovary, but the nurse said i really shouldn't feel pain from it. any ideas.
I am also doing unmedicated IUI's.

Thank You!
Best of luck to everyone!:flower:

Hi Vizsla,

I have this too. Small cysts an cause a dull ache. Sometimes they can twist slightly or move. Perhaps (post-)ovulation causes some movement too. If you've had an ultrasound that shows nothing but a small cyst then I wouldn't worry.

Thank you so much for your response!!! you made me feel better! Best of luck to you!

A dull ache could be a sign of ovulation. Some women get ovulation pain. I have cysts on both sides, but for some reason only get ov pain on the left side. I was once told that because the colon/bowel is on that side it can also be pain in the colon (ibs) that happens in response to ovulation. Don't know if you suffer at all, but apparently when the ovaries release progesterone it affects the bowel and can cause small spasms. Just throwing out what I've gathered here! Hope it makes some sense to you.

always best to get everything checked though!

oh my gosh i was going to ask about this. I havent had a scan or anything but i get bit constipated (sorry tmi) leading up to period & i get that feeling. i also read about colon pushing against the ovries. i have ibs. i am going to ask the fs. hope this helps but everyone is different.

Thats make alot of sense, I get constipated also. Thank you so much!
