Dummy/ pacifier thermometer

How good an idea is this? I always struggle to take Los temperature

We had one when my daughter was quite small worked quite well but downside with ours she needed to suck it continuous for a set time to get a reading which she wouldn't always do
she has always been quite fussy what dummy she would suck which didn't help us
