Hey everyone. Spent the last two days in and out of hospital(over night once). Doctors and nurses all agree i am in early labor. My body is just having a hard time getting things regular enough to make changes. They let me go home which I am happy about and the nurse was very open with what I could do to move things along(SEX) lol.

Niw I'm just wondering. The nurse did say that early labor can last up to a few weeks but I'm curious to hear some actually stories from ladies who have been in early labor followed by full labor.

Thanks.

My early labour lasted 4 days. It was hell, like u I kept going back to hospital and they finally admitted me on the 3rd time. In the end I had to be induced because my labour wouldn't progress. Xx Hope u aren't waiting too long for it too kick in x

I would like to know this too! I had some mild backache and period type pains along with BH last Friday and then Monday night had this again but more painful and more tightenings plus pain moving to my groin and thighs. Phoned midwife on Tuesday who said it sounds like early labour. Last night I had this again but even worse along with stabbing pains in my vagina and cervix.
I'm exhausted and achy all over :( Last night I broke down in tears and poor DH didn't know what to do.
I just really hope it turns into proper labour soon because it's driving me mad and I'm scared that I won't have enough energy for the real thing!
Do you think I should call my midwife about it happening again last night?

i had early labour for 3 days with my DD but once i got to 4cm and active labour it was only 2 hours :) fingers crossed for u ladies x

i have been having all the above symptoms for 2wks am due tomorrow

I had symptoms on and off from just after 30 weeks, braxton hicks, achey in pelvis, nerve pains, mucous plug started coming away around 34-35 weeks. Waters broke 36 + 1 during one early evening nap when feeling off. Real contractions started at 2 am at 36 + 3, labour established (4 in ten minutes) about 6am and he was born just after midday.

Thanks ladies. I am already 3cm so I'm hoping it wontvlast to to long but know knows. I always feel better in the morning and then it kicks in around noon. Going to be trying lots of walking and lots of sex over the next few days.

Good luck! Hope it goes quickly for you. :flower:

I wish I knew if I am at all dilated but they don't check you here :( If I at least knew something positive was happening I feel I'd be able to cope better but at the moment it just feels that I'm uncomfortae and in pain and it's not getting me anywhere :(

I've been having these symptoms off and on for two weeks--regular/frequent contractions that are uncomfortable but can talk through them, period cramps, back pain, stabbling pain through vagina. Its hard to know whether its false labor or early labor. I was checked internally at 36+5 and was 1-2 cm and 70% effaced, so I'm guessing these episodes are doing something. I hope that means when I go into active labor it won't last as long.

I just this is all over soon. Been in and out of the bath a taking Tylenol for the period pains all day.

Mine seems to have eased off as the days gone on. Going to see if I can persuade dh to dtd :winkwink: try and get things moving! Lol!
