Early Ovulation????

So I just finished af 2 days ago and I am already having what I would think is EWCM... happened last cycle also. Cycles have been pretty much 27-28 days with a couple exceptions of 35 and 23 days. Is it possible that I could be an "early ovulator??" I have read that you can ovulate right after af if your cycles are short but what if they are 27-28 days?? Just to be safe, dh woke up to a frisky chick this morning thanks ladies!!!!

it is entirely possible to ovulate right after af, the only way you would know for sure is to be temping your bbt and or using opk's

^^ WSS! i also get ewcm shortly after AF leaves and have 27-28 day cycles. however, i think my ewcm shows up a few days before actual O, but i can't be sure because i don't temp or use OPKs. i just go off of CM, CP, and ovulation cramping :-/

thanks girls... ordered opk's but they are here yet. Well, guess we'll be bd'ing a whole lot in the next few days. Done the every other day thing and that didnt work.

I had the same thing and my cycles are between 27-29 days. My temps usually go up after af and this time they just went down. Now I'm really worried because my temp went way up today. Did manage to bd lastnight for the first time. I hope I didn't miss it. OPk has lines but not as dark as control yet. Haven't tested today yet.

It's possible to ovulate that early, but a lot of the times it's from a random estrogen surge that happens after your AF finishes, especially since it happened last time. It's best to BD just in case. If your cycles are that long you most likely don't ovulate until around CD15-20xx

The same thing happened to me last cycle. I was at CD9 and found lots of EWCM but I actually ovulated at CD12 based on BBT.

This cycle, I am at CD6 today and af just left. I found lots of EWCM in the moring. So I used OPK in the afternoon -bfn with a faint line.

I guess, EWCM is just a sign. BBT and OPK are more reliable.

yeah... from what I have read, EWCM can happen a few days leading up to ovulation. Still waiting for my opks to arrive in the mail.

Well I am also awaiting O, today I got a high on cbfm at cd 9. I have longer cycles so I never thought I would be reaching O this soon, but I guess it detected a rise! If this is the case I have always missed O because I thought my O was later in the cycle, we will see exactly which day when I get a peak! I just came off AF on CD6.

Hey mixed..... I am holding out hope that maybe that is what is happening to me also. If I am ovulating earlier than I thought then we have been missing it. I try to start bd'n around 5 to 6 days before I suspect O but this time we have been bd'n since already about cd8 (yesterday). By the text book of ovulation I would not be due until next week. Fx'd that this might mean the difference in bfn and !!!!

If it happened last cycle then it's probably just a random estrogen surge causing the ewcm which is very common after AF ends.. because if you ovulated this early last cycle, you would have like a 20 day lp, which is very unlikely. EWCM does not always mean ovulation, ewcm is just caused from estrogen surges which can happen all throughout your cycle (even after ov sometimes) but mainly right before ovulation. I'd BD just in case you are ovulating and it will be a shorter cycle.. I would still keep a look out for more ewcm and test around the time you would usually ovulate just in case! lots of sticky baby dust!! xx

I have no idea whats going on with me. Low temps then a big rise. Still very wet, stretchy cm but I missed testing ystrdy. Todays test was lighter than Thurs just a lil but I didnt temp today so not sure if it went up or back down. Been bding hope it means sooner than later. Last cycle I got the O fake out and by the time I actually did O I was tired, stressed and couldn't seem to bd at the right time.

If you still have fertile cm, chances are you haven't ovulated yet. Keep on BD'ing until you see that thermal shift!

Yeah, I dont know what's causing this. Still very wet, clear cm today. I dont know much about cp but I have been starting to check it and its very high but soft. Dont think that means O. I am not even sure that I am ovulating yet since stopping the pill in May. Might just be my body STILL adjusting. If I knew then what I know now about the pill I dont know if I would have taken it or at least I would have stopped before I was ready to start ttc.

If your cervix is high and soft that means your fertile. But once again, cm and cp changes all throughout your cycle so it's very hard to determine ov by just those things, even if you are regular. Just keep BDing until it goes creamy/dry/sticky and BD everytime you see it. It's common to see ewcm after AF is over with and it doesn't always means ov. EWCM just means your having an estrogen surge which happens all throughout your cycle, and that doesn't always mean ov. It's best to just BD everytime you see it Are you using OPKs or temping? xx

Taylor... thanks for the info!! I guess that's just it, dont really know what it is so we're doin' the deed just in case. I am not using either.... I am waiting on my opk's in the mail. Ordered from the states so I dont know when they will get here. Should be any day now. I am afraid that if by some luck I am ovulating I will miss my chance to confirm it with the opk's. Temping is something that i have been looking into but have not started. I think that if I dont get a bfp this cycle then I will start doing it next time.
